Happy Deadday

Does any grown up like the day after Halloween? I never have. The kids are tired and spazzy on sugar, no one got enough sleep, and winter is upon us. I used to tell anyone who’d ask that Halloween was my favorite holiday. It was always an excuse to party, no matter the day of the week, and i could cover all my imperfections with makeup or a mask. The masks I wore when drinking didn’t hide me like I wished they would. Trying to disguise my addiction only worked for so long. Have you ever done a walk of shame on a sunny November first morning in a costume? It’s not pretty. Here’s hoping you don’t feel like the living dead today from drinking too much last night. And if you do? It’s a new day and a new month. Perfect timing for a fresh start. Happy Monday, sober family! Keep it simple today.
