The excitement of Halloween. As a kid we’d wait for weeks for this. We’d convince our mom that homemade costumes weren’t cool and morph into Wonder Woman or Smurfette and get our candy fix. In high school and college it was about looking slutty and hitting the best parties. After having kids we’d dress them up and take sippie cups of wine trick or treating. Once the cups were getting low we’d hurry the kids along so we could refill. Ugh, just writing this is exhausting. I don’t need a costume to become a monster.
