Just because we could never drink like ladies doesn’t mean we were bad people. We were just sick. At least we felt the shame and remorse the mornings after. I never wanted to fight, steal, rage, or sob in public. The mere fact that I did tells me that alcohol affects my chemistry in an undeniable way. It also didn’t help that I’d drink 7 times the recommended amount. Maybe 17 times that. This I know to be true. I can’t drink alcohol. Not one, not a couple, not just on weekends. Trust me- we’re ALL better off. Happy Thursday, sober family! Keep it simple today.
