Have you ever heard that once you reach a certain drunken point that you turn into someone else? I sure have. They say my eyes cloud over once that switch is flipped. How could I become so mean when I was drunk? I’d start shit just to start it. I’d say anything with no regard to how it made others feel. For years I’ve heard the saying that drunk words are sober thoughts. Mine weren’t. My drunken words and actions were petty and mean. An old friend and I used to warn people to get ready for the monsters that were about to be unleashed when we drank together. I guess we thought we were cool?!? All I know about that is this- if I want to be kind, caring, sympathetic, and honest, then I can’t take that first drink. That evil monster needs to stay locked the fuck up.
