WaTch me

Integrity is said to be doing the right thing even when nobody’s watching. Before I was alcohol free I tried to do the right thing. Just because I had a serious issue with alcohol didn’t mean that I was a bad person in every way. I was a sick person for sure. When I wasn’t drinking I was kind, sympathetic, and encouraging. When I’d down that first drink, everyone (including me) knew that the switch would be flipped at some point and I’d be obnoxious, irritating, and extremely judgmental. I could say ANYTHING to anyone about how I was going to behave that night…maybe a few cocktails just to get a teeny buzz on. I was the never ending boy who cried wolf. I was so full of it that even I didn’t believe myself. My sister and I have come to find that it is imperative for us to watch a persons actions rather than just listen to our words. Just listen to our latest #sobersisterssocialclub podcast. We drop some truth bombs. Happy Friday, sober family! Keep it simple today.
