The benefits of sobriety far outweigh the benefits of drinking. I’m not spending every penny I have on more alcohol or drunken online shopping. What is it about me that when I’m drunk I NEED these things from Amazon? Even when I hid my phone from myself I’d find it and get to clicking. I remember being scared that sober sex would be mortifying. There’s absolutely nothing better now. I’ll never ever miss the shamesies that I used to wake up with on a daily. For me, too, confidence came with sobriety. It took a few months to be comfortable in my own skin and today I’m more confident than ever before. I’ve regained my integrity. There’s also no chance of getting arrested (again) due to alcohol. I thought I’d miss out on everything if I gave up drinking. Now I know that I missed out on so much when I was submerged in a bottle. Life’s better on this side. Happy Tuesday, sober family. Keep it simple today.
